Keanu Reeves Reveals Plans for Two ‘Matrix’ Films in 3-D

In the midst of the 3-D craze, sequels to the smash hit franchise, 'The Matrix,' are in the works

According to AICN (Ain't It Cool News), the rumor was sent as a mysterious email reporting that actor Keanu Reeves, who played the lead character, Neo, in The Matrix film series, broke the news while speaking with a group of students at the London School of Performing Arts and promoting his new movie, Henry’s Crime.

During the discussion, Reeves mentioned meeting with the directors of The Matrix franchise, Andy and Larry Wachowski, over lunch around Christmas, when they told him they had been working on two completed scripts for The Matrix story.

The Wachowskis have met with film director James Cameron to discuss the pros and cons of 3-D. After fans were disappointed with the third installment of The Matrix trilogy, Reeves swore that the upcoming sequels “will truly revolutionize the action genre like the first movie."
