A new Lil Wayne song titled “Grateful” is now available on Tidal. The track, featuring Gudda Gudda and produced by StreetRunner and Rugah Ruh, arrives soon after the rapper hinted at retirement in a series of unclear tweets a week ago.
“NEW CHAPTER,” Wayne tweeted when he dropped “Grateful” Friday night (Sept. 9).

The lyrics of “Grateful” seemingly address Wayne’s beef with Birdman and Cash Money Records: “I been working hard for no prize / I’m still grateful though I show pride / And you don’t see Stunna right next to me / And I won’t see Stunna write checks to me / They can’t put no more Weezy Baby out / That’s that Cash Money vasectomy.”
Lil Wayne has been involved in an almost two-year battle with Cash Money, his record label, over the release of his 11th studio album Tha Carter V and a release from his contract.
